The fist new generation bank of India named Indusind Bank Ltd., is headquartered of Mumbai of Maharashtra state. This bank was founded of 1994 with the aim to turn all types of commercial, transactional and electronic banking services hassle free and appealing.
The then Finance Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh was the key incorporator of this bank of 1994. Indusind Bank Ltd., has an identity of being the first of the new-generation private banks of the country.
The startup capital collected for the operation of Indusind Bank Ltd., was Rs.1,000 million out of that Indian masses donated Rs.600 million whereas the Non-Resident Indians raised the rest Rs.400 million. Major focus of this bank remains on the retail banking although its corporate banking services are equally effective.
